The internet evolved from the “world wide web” to what we now know as the “cloud.” Metaverse is heading a similar transition process.

While the world adapts to smart modern-day technology; new theories around the metaverse are starting to shape. From buying stuff to playing games, metaverse will change the medium where we socialize with others, according to Bitcoin.com. In a metaverse world, cryptocurrencies will play an important role as opined by Phillippe Bekhazi, co-founder and CEO of XBTO Group, a global crypto finance firm.

“It’s not beyond the realm of possibility that in some future metaverse, even crypto traders could trade Bitcoin and other crypto assets on a VR/AR-integrated system within the metaverse. In such a scenario, they could bargain ‘in person,’ in the form of the digital avatars, over what price they would want to trade whichever crypto asset. The possibilities could be limitless, and we are excited to see what comes of this,” Bekhazi told GOBankingRates.

Today, the metaverse realm is defined as an all-inclusive alternate universe with digital avatars and endless possibilities. While brands like Microsoft, Nvidia, and more recently Meta showcases their ambitions around the metaverse, it will take a decade or so to create a full-fledged meta-universe.
